Emerging.Technology is a community of technologists, coders, traders, entrepreneurs and students who come together to share information and ideas relating to tech like artificial intelligence (AI), cryptocurrency, extended reality (VR/AR/MR), blockchain, 3D printing (3DP) and drones.

This community should be considered as a place focused on inclusion, collaboration and exploration. All users are free to share the stage, or the benefit from it. In accordance with this, we would ask all members to observe and adhere to this set of general guidelines for behaviour and interaction, as well as any other complimentary sets of rules that are added to different sections of the site.


General rules for using Emerging.Technology:

  1. Information, guides, products/service and instructions within this forum are to be used at your own risk. By using this site, you agree that Emerging.Technology, its owners and employees hold no liability for damages resulting from your use of the platform.

  2. Please be aware that English may not be the first language of some users, and to take that into account when interacting. However, all users should also take every effort to write to a good level of spelling and grammar in order to facilitate better conversations.

  3. Spamming the community with self-promotion and affiliate links will not be tolerated. If a majority of your posts on this site contain promotional links you will be warned and offending posts will be removed. If you continue to attempt to post similar posts, you may be permanently banned without further warning.

  4. All promotional material is not necessarily spam. Creating insightful and engaging discussions and referencing a relevant business is acceptable on Emerging.Technology. However, attempts to loosely disguise blatant spam as a legitimate references will be dealt with in the same way as any other spam on this site.

  5. This is a community centred around our passion for exploring the future of emerging technologies, and conversations outside of the Member's Lounge should be relevant to the general topic in each sub-forum, and to this core goal. The Member's Lounge is an area to freely discuss any topic that doesn't breach either of the next two rules.

  6. The creation of any content which is deemed to be illegal is strictly forbidden on Emerging.Technollogy. This includes but is not limited to:
    • hate speech and threats
    • material relating to committing crimes
    • sexually-illegal material
    • copyrighted material
    • warez, malware etc.

  7. Additionally, the creation of objectionable content listed here is also prohibited on the site and may result in permanent banning from this site:
    • pornographic material of any kind
    • discussions about taking illegal drugs
    • requests of any kind for members to commit crimes
    • ideologically extreme discussions in any direction.
    • Profanity towards other members

  8. There is no need for any user to hold more than one account on Emerging.Technology, and we will delete all accounts but one and provide a warning if we detect this. Repeat breaches of this rule will swiftly result in a permanent ban.

  9. Staff reserve the right to remove content at any time either if it is deemed to be breach the rules of the site, or for any other reason.
By violating any of these rules, or other rules here we may take contravening actions that include but are not limited to warnings, moving and removing content, or permanently banning offending users from the site.

Please use the site as it was intended and enjoyed a positive, shared exploratory experience with other likeminded technologists.
