Hand tracking is a feature on the Oculus Quest that allows the user to control their device's menus with their hands. It's been releasing for a couple weeks now in a slow rollout, and some people still don't have it. Unfortunately, if you're one of those people, you'll just have to wait until your turn comes.

However, if you just got the update, it's pretty simple to get started. Complete the following steps:
  1. Allow update v12 to complete.
  2. Restart your Quest.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Click "Experimental Settings".
  5. Turn on hand tracking. It should be the bottom setting.
  6. At the bottom, click "Use Hands".
  7. You should now see your hands! Follow the guide that starts to learn how to use it.
As of this post, there are no games that support the hand tracking yet. However, the SDK was released to developers a couple hours ago.

For more information, or to see hand tracking in action, watch this video.

What games do you hope they add hand tracking to?
