Is "clip mining" a viable way to make money with drones?

I came across a Youtube video mentioning a way of making money with drones called 'clip mining'. I'm not sure if it goes by other names as well, but it seems like it's essentially creating large amounts of nice video footage with a drone and then 'clipping' it to resell lots of small segments of it to different websites.

Anyone heard of this? I think it could be a good fun way to make some money with a reasonably good drone and Premiere Pro/Final Cut.

For sure this could be profitable, but I've never heard of it being called 'clip mining' before.

Sounds like a good way to make money while having a good time, I think there could be already a decent number of drone photographers doing this. Would be good to look into this further!

So the concept for this is to get a video and slice it up for smaller promo clips to sell on royalty-free video sites? I wonder how profitable this could be. I'd be interested to look into this more
