It has been revealed that the government of Uzbekistan is planning to regulate cryptocurrency trading and implement blockchain technologies this year. The information was conveyed by the National Agency for Project Management (NAPM) during a press conference on Monday. According to the agency, the proposed mining pool is to assist with the consolidation of the capabilities of domestic and foreign miners nationally.

Do you think this would work out positively? Both in crypto and blockchain industry?

At first glance, it was a relatively good news for cryptocurrency since a national government is establishing a cryptocurrency exchange for their population to use. However, when you read deeper, you'll see that there are rumors of NAPM releasing an order that restricts Uznex's users to just trade their government's coin, and not other cryptocurrencies available. This means that they would establish a monopoly with only the top coins in the market listed on their exchange together with their coin. Pretty much what China is doing, but in China, there could be a complete ban on all other coins including Bitcoin.
